B747 Steering Bypass Pin For Use On Boeing 747 For Pushback And Aircraft Towing

All aircraft require a Steering Bypass system of some type.  On the B747 this is achieved using a Steering Bypass pin.  This is inserted into the steering bypass mechanism on the nose wheel of the aircraft to enable the ground crew to have full control of the aircraft during aircraft pushback and movements.
